Description of the Symposium:

The Brazilian Symposium on Information and Computer System Security (SBSeg) is an annual event promoted by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC). Its main goal is to provide a forum for presenting research advances and other relevant activity in the area of information systems security. SBSeg allows the integration of the brazilian community of researchers and professionals in the security area and allows the interchange of information with foreign researchers responsible for important contributions for consolidating the security of computer systems.

The previous four editions of the symposium, which was initially called Workshop on Computer System Security (WSeg), had an increasing attendance and a growing number of submissions, leading to its transformation in a symposium.

The fifth edition of the
Brazilian Symposium on Information and Computer System Security will be held in the beautiful city of Florianópolis from 26 to 30 of September, 2005. This edition will be structured in the form of technical sessions, tutorials, invited lectures by foreign experts, panel discussions and workshops.
